Job Summary:

This role will be crucial in further establishing and enhancing our in-house manufacturing capabilities, creation of processes, overseeing the production process, ensuring quality assurance and control, and providing leadership to our assembly technicians as we scale production and improve our product.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Manufacturing Leadership:

  • Provide hands-on leadership to the manufacturing team, ensuring a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues with suppliers and customers pertaining to on-time delivery of high-quality products or the maintenance thereof
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of assembly technicians.
  • Day-to-day support as needed and maintain all relevant manufacturing documentation

Strategic Planning:

  • Design and implement systems and equipment procedures in the manufacturing facility
  • Create and implement a streamlined manufacturing process for higher production capabilities
  • Design and forecast facility growth requirements
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for in-house manufacturing operations by creating a QMS.
  • Work closely with the engineering and maintenance team to consistently implement new product improvements as well as ensure the most cost-effective and efficient customer service capabilities
  • Develop proactive, responsive, and effective relationships with key customers and suppliers – with a high degree of customer intimacy and supplier engagement

Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):

  • Establish and maintain rigorous QA/QC processes to guarantee the production of high-quality products.
  • Perform visual, mechanical, and functional verifications to ensure compliance to quality standards and specifications
  • Maintain proper inventory control

Production Optimization:

  • Optimize the production workspace for higher production throughput
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and workflows.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources, minimize downtime, and maximize production output.
  • Create production standards and processes to optimize for cost and resource allocation

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of cGMPs

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully building and scaling manufacturing operations.
  • 5+ years of setting up manufacturing processes and facilities
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Odoo or similar ERP systems
  • Essential CAD or AutoCAD skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt preferred)
